Printed patches are ideal when you need color accuracy and detail on a budget. Digital printing reproduces gradients and complex illustrations, while screen printing suits bold designs with a few spot colors.
We print onto durable twill or canvas, then cut and finish each patch with a merrowed or embroidered border. The finished patch is thin, flexible and lightweight, so it works on garments, bags and promotional items where a thick patch would feel bulky.
Printed patches are commonly used for trade show giveaways, fundraising campaigns, event badges, product launches and limited-edition merchandise. They also make sense when artwork contains photography or many colors and you do not need raised texture.
Printed versus sublimated
Both reproduce full color. Sublimation bonds into polyester for the smoothest finish and is our default for photos, while other printing methods can be used on cotton canvas or for specific effects. Your quote will recommend the method that fits your artwork and budget.

Size guidance
Printed patches work from 1.5 inches up to 10 inches or more. For text-heavy designs, keep the smallest lettering above about 1/8 inch tall.

Artwork recommendations
Use high-resolution files (300 DPI at print size) or vector artwork. Convert text to outlines in vector files, and include a bleed if the design runs to the edge.

Are printed patches durable?
Yes, for normal wear. Printed patches are finished with a stitched border and are suitable for garments and bags. For heavy-duty uniforms that are washed constantly, embroidered or woven patches last longest.
Can printed patches have a metallic or glitter look?
Some specialty inks and finishes are possible depending on the method. Mention the effect you want and we will confirm options in your quote.
Is there a setup fee for printed patches?
Printed patches do not need digitizing or a mold. Any setup cost will be listed clearly on your quote.
